Yummy, But Disappointing for a Reserve BAS
A monster barrel-aged stout. Almost black in appearance, with a dark tan head. Much smoother than the normal Big Bad Baptist, and with more coffee notes, too. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Does it separate itself from other marquee barrel-aged stouts? No, which is why it’s hard to justify the $26 price tag. Sure, I’d drink this one again — but I won’t be buying it anytime soon.
