Really juicy up-front, but the finish is dry and clean. The Citra and Mosaic hops are my all-time favorite hop combo. Add some oats for a less bitter finish and this is a dangerously crushable beverage. If you’re looking for a fantastic NE DIPA, this is it.
When it comes to the hazy style, many point to the juicy qualities... but that really has nothing to do with it in my opinion. If a beer tastes like juice, and not beer, that’s a failure. The hazy style is most dependent on getting the mouthfeel right in conjunction with a moderate amount of bitterness. It needs to to be hazy, and thick, and soft on the mouth, highlighting tropical/juicy characteristics but not sacrificing the bitter backbone that makes it an IPA to begin with. This beer achieve all of that. Mouthfeel. Tropical Juice. IPA bitterness. The can I had was a couple months old and still achieved it. If it was fresher, I may have given this a full 5 stars.
