IPA - Imperial / Double New England | 9% ABV

Commercial Description:

The only password you need to get into this masonic lodge is the word "Citra". Created in collaboration with our Bros (Pun definitely intended) at Booze Brother's Brewing out of Vista CA, this beer contains nothing but Citra. But don't take that as it being boring by any means. We tracked down every different variation of the Citra hop we could find to create this citrus bomb. Containing Cryo Citra, Incognito Citra, and regular T90 Citra hop pellets, this beer is much more complex than your standard single hop beer.
All you need to do is know the password and the handshake.

Oh Brother!

This was a homerun DIPA for me. I've enjoyed other IPAS from Mason Aleworks and this collab didn't disappoint. Smooth with a little haze, a little citrus, a little pine. Really well balanced DIPA. Order a couple if it comes back in stock!

A well-balanced DIPA

I was a bit skeptical of yet another hazy IPA, but have enjoyed other beers from each of these craft brewers and so I took the plunge. I was glad I did. Bros of the Freemason is a well-balanced DIPA, with enough of a malt backbone to let you know you're drinking a 'big beer' and enough hop presence to avoid slipping into the 'juice box' realm that captures so many of the hazy / NEIPA styles of late. Hops are here, and they've enough bite to keep things interesting on the palette while still observing they're not entirely the star of the show as they might be in a WCIPA. Overall, a great collab & well worth a look.
