Imperial Stout | 13% ABV

Commercial Description:

Annual collaboration release between Stone’s Greg Koch, Wil Wheaton, and Drew Curtis. Stout brewed with pecans & rye, one quarter aged in Bourbon barrels. Use as master listing. Each year has separate vintage listing; ABV may vary slightly depending on release year.

This barrel-aged palate-saver has been a favorite among our fans—and us—since its inception in 2013. Pecans, wheat, flaked rye and bourbon-soaked barrels provide this whopping, complex superhero version of an imperial stout with a profound complexity that makes it ideal for cellaring—if you can wait that long. Now, we can’t say this beer bestows jedi powers, exactly, but your taste buds may just be fooled into believing as much.

Uber black liquid. Subtle chocolate nose. Smooth barrel flavor with pecans, some spice, and chocolate throughout.

One of my favorite stouts

I wait for this one to be released every year. It tastes great and drinks far easier than its higher ABV.

Always solid and enjoyable

I get this beer every year when I can find it, and I've loved every single one. It's always delicious, well-crafted, and nicely balanced, and this one follows suit perfectly.

Yearly treat

Least favorite rendition of them all, but still a great imperial stout!
