Sour - Ale | 9.4% ABV

Commercial Description:

Originally released in 2008, Cuvée du Jongleur, or “Blend of the Juggler,” consists of select red, triple and quad sour ales aged in oak barrels for up to three years. Making its first appearance in over a decade, the 2017 project pays homage to the original blend, juggling a variety of base beers that offer clean and complex flavors through the lactic fermentation process that has come to define our Northwest Sour Ales.

Pucker up

My cheeks are puckering up as I’m typing this, mouth cheeks that is. This one was sour and I got a few sours under my belt but this one missed the oak age imo. I can barely drink a sour now if it isn’t oak barrel aged and I was not feeling this one. None the less it was a great sour and my wife enjoyed it, just wasn’t up to my standards. Especially from cascade—I blame it on their Primordal Noir.
