Commercial Description:

A unique sour ale fermented with bacteria and also with wild and cultured yeast strains. It is then aged on wood and abundantly fruited with real black currants for a complex, refreshingly tart beer. Tasty sour!

Pours a deep red color, so dark red that you can't see through but the beer is clear not hazy/murky. 1/2" pink-red tinted head falls quickly to a cap and is both surprising and stunning visually. Deep berry/cherry notes along with a wine barrel aroma and a very light funkiness that goes with it. Rich and tart dark cherry and dark berry flavor. Flash of sourness and young wine character. Quick peppery spice and/or earthy/herbal flavor. Wheat. Medium body, low to medium carbonation. Tart and sour lengthy finish with medium high acidity. Very good. Unique and richly flavored sour ale.
