Jackie O's Pub & Brewery Beer Available Online
Sour - Berliner Weisse | 6% ABV 4.3 Untappd
When Jackie O's decided they were ready to send beer to California, it wasn't quite as simple as "brew beer, bottle beer, ship beer." No, California requires that each bottle includes information about the California bottle redemption value--information that was not on their already-printed labels. So the folks at Jackie O's were faced with the task of manually putting over 10,000 stickers on each of the bottles to be sent out to us here at Lime Ventures. It was an absurd challenge, but thankfully, they seem to have a good sense of humor about it (thanks again, guys!!).
To commemorate the ridiculousness of it all, Jackie O's has created a California-exclusive beer called, appropriately, CA CRV. It's a wine barrel-aged blend of Berliner weisse and sour blonde ale, aged on grape skins, blackberries, and raspberries. It's a tannic, tart, juicy, and properly-labeled delight.

THE TASTE OF STEVNS SOUR CHERRIES
‘Late Bottled’ is produced from Stevns sour cherries grown and harvested in our own orchards – primarily berries from Young trees in Skælstrupmark orchard. The berries are fermented for three days, after which the pressed juice undergoes further fermentation in stainless steel vats. Under normal circumstances, we either bottle the wine directly from the vats 9-10 months later – or mature the wine in oak casks.

HISTORY IN A BOTTLE
This is our premier wine and one that is inspired by the finest traditions of sherry making. In simple terms, the Solera System means that, every year, a small portion of a wine is drawn from a row of barrels which is then replenished with young wine. The young wine quickly takes on the characteristics of the older wine (this is not unlike using a sourdough starter to make bread). On the whole, this process produces wine with an increasing complexity as the years pass.
The Solera is the sum of our history in a bottle. The Solera System (the barrels used and the wine produced in this fashion) takes us back to our very beginnings in 2006. We replenish the barrels with only our best vintages. With our solera system, we have produced a total of 1,251 litres of wine, which is divided between 450, 226 and 125-litre barrels. However, we never draw off more than 150 litres (or 300 bottles worth of wine) a year, because we want to preserve and refine the unique character of our system! All our bottles are numbered and marked with our signature. The bottling year is marked with a hashtag (#).
